Banana Chips — Wholesale B2B Guide
Bulk banana chips (locally: pisang) produced factory-direct in Magelang, Central Java. Written for importers, distributors, food manufacturers, and private-label brand owners sourcing banana chips wholesale from Indonesia.
Why banana chips
Banana chips are the highest-volume mainstream category in the vacuum fried snack segment — familiar to Western retail buyers, price-competitive versus other tropical fruits, and stable in supply year-round. Vacuum frying at low temperature yields a firm, crisp chip with roughly 18–22% oil content, no added sugar, and a natural pale-gold color — well below conventional deep-fried banana chips that rely on coconut oil and coating syrup.
Varieties
- Cavendish: the export-standard banana. Uniform size, mild flavor, consistent gold color — best fit for private-label retail and food-service packs targeting Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
- Raja (plantain-type): larger fruit with denser flesh and a deeper aroma. Firmer bite, well suited to premium and specialty positioning or as an ingredient SKU for granola, trail mix, and bakery inclusions.

OEM & private label
We produce banana chips under buyer-owned brands from 1 × 20' FCL. The buyer supplies print-ready artwork; we handle pouch printing, filling, nitrogen flushing, sealing, and cartoning in-house. Nutritional panels, ingredient statements, and destination-market labelling (EU, GCC, US FDA, ASEAN) are prepared with the buyer against a signed spec sheet.
Sourcing & seasonality
Banana is available year-round in Java with no meaningful seasonal gap. Cavendish supply is contracted from plantation farmers in West Java; Raja is sourced from smallholder cooperatives in Central Java. We hold buffer stock of finished chips to absorb 2–3 week demand spikes without impacting lead time.
Compliance & documentation
Every shipment ships with Certificate of Analysis (moisture, oil content, microbiological), Halal certificate, Certificate of Origin (Form E, Form D, or generic COO as required), phytosanitary certificate, and packing list. HACCP and ISO 22000 audit reports are available under NDA for buyer due diligence.
